1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Tailecho.com ("the Site") and using our digital memorial and AI companionship services ("the Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. Tailecho is a solo-founded project. Our goal is to provide a supportive space for pet loss, but use of this site is entirely at your own risk.

2. Nature of AI Services (The "Past Tense" Rule)

Simulation, Not Resurrection: You acknowledge that the AI-powered companion is a Large Language Model (LLM) trained on data you provide. It is a mathematical simulation designed to mimic patterns of your pet’s personality.

• No "Ghost" Claims: Tailecho does not claim to facilitate communication with the deceased.
• Past Tense Logic: The AI is designed to reflect on shared memories in the past tense. It is not an interactive "living" entity.
• Hallucinations: AI may occasionally generate inaccurate or nonsensical statements. You agree not to hold Tailecho liable for any emotional distress caused by AI-generated content.

3. Not a Crisis or Medical Service

Tailecho is for memorialization and companionship only. **We are not licensed therapists, counselors, or medical professionals.**

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or thoughts of self-harm, please contact a professional crisis hotline immediately (e.g., 988 in the US). Our "Crisis Detection" automation is a best-effort safety feature and is not guaranteed to function in real-time.

4. User-Generated Content & Ownership

Your Data: You retain ownership of all photos, stories, and videos you upload ("User Content"). You grant Tailecho a license to use this content solely to generate your pet's AI persona and display your memorial page.

The "Persona": While you own the input data, the specific configuration, "fine-tuning" parameters, and AI-generated outputs are the intellectual property of Tailecho, powered by third-party providers like OpenAI and Anthropic.

5. Fees and "Lifetime" Access

Lifetime Memorials: If you purchase a "Lifetime" plan, this refers to the lifetime of the Site. As a solo-bootstrapped venture, "Lifetime" is defined as the period during which Tailecho remains commercially solvent and technically viable.

API Costs: We reserve the right to implement "Fair Use" caps on AI chat volume to prevent API cost spikes that could threaten the platform’s stability.

6. Third-Party Services

Our stack includes WordPress (Astra/Elementor), WooCommerce, Bunny.net (CDN), and AI Engine Pro (connecting to OpenAI/Anthropic). By using Tailecho, you also agree to the acceptable use policies of these third-party providers. We
