1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Tail Echo, we may collect:
- Account and contact information: name, email address, login details, account identifiers, and information you provide when contacting us.
- Memorial and user-submitted content: pet names, photos, stories, dates, messages, candle or tribute activity, uploaded files, and memorial settings.
- Order and transaction information: product selected, order number, billing contact details, order status, delivery information, revision requests, refund or dispute information, and records needed for accounting or fraud prevention.
- Support information: support messages, attachments, memorial URLs, order references, and information needed to investigate or resolve a request.
- Technical and usage information: browser, device, IP-derived technical information, logs, page activity, cookie or consent information, security signals, and analytics information where enabled.
2. Memorial and user-generated content
Pet memorials can contain deeply personal stories, photos, family references, and messages. You choose what to submit. Please only upload material you have permission to use.
Public memorial pages, public candle messages, tribute content, or other features marked public may be visible to visitors and may be indexed or shared outside Tail Echo. Content intended to remain private should only be submitted through features designed for private or restricted use.
3. Memorial ownership, visibility, and removal
We may ask for verification before changing memorial ownership, removing content, restricting visibility, or acting on a family dispute. When another person’s privacy or authority is involved, we may delay, narrow, or decline a request until we have enough information to make a reasonable decision.
For access, correction, deletion, memorial removal, or ownership review, use our Privacy Rights & Data Requests process.
4. Orders, payments, delivery, and support
When you purchase a digital product or request support, we collect information needed to process the order, deliver the service, provide revisions, respond to questions, investigate technical or billing issues, prevent fraud, keep business records, and comply with tax, accounting, legal, and payment obligations.
Payment information may be processed by third-party payment providers. Tail Echo does not need to store your full payment card number on our own website. Payment providers may process transaction and fraud-prevention information under their own terms and privacy practices.
When you contact us by form, email, support portal, or AI Voice Assistant, we may collect your name, email, order number, memorial URL, message, attachments, call metadata, transcript, summary, or recording where supported by the relevant service provider and permitted by applicable law.
5. AI-assisted services
Some Tail Echo features may use AI-assisted tools to help create memorial artwork, videos, text, summaries, prompts, support drafts, or internal workflow outputs. To provide a requested feature, we may process photos, memories, prompts, order instructions, and support details through service providers that support those workflows.
AI-assisted output is an artistic or supportive interpretation. It is not medical, veterinary, psychological, legal, spiritual, or financial advice, and it is not proof of an afterlife, resurrection, or communication with a deceased pet.
Refunds, memorial ownership, privacy requests, account-control decisions, and final billing decisions require human review.
6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising measurement
Site technology
Cookies and similar technologies may support WordPress, WooCommerce, login, cart and checkout, forms, security, spam prevention, performance, media delivery, and consent preferences.
Google analytics & tags
Where enabled and permitted, Google Tag Manager, Site Kit by Google, and analytics integrations may help us manage tags and understand traffic, engagement, device information, page performance, and site usage.
Advertising measurement
Where enabled and subject to applicable consent requirements, Google Ads conversion measurement and similar technologies may help us understand whether an ad interaction led to a site action such as a visit, form submission, account creation, or purchase.
Cookie choices and details
See the Tail Echo Cookie Policy for cookie categories, Google services, consent choices, browser controls, third-party technologies, and retention information.
7. How we use information

- To create, host, deliver, revise, restore, or troubleshoot digital memorial products and memorial pages.
- To process orders, payments, refunds, support requests, disputes, and customer communications.
- To protect accounts and the site, detect fraud or abuse, enforce our Terms, and maintain security.
- To understand site performance, improve content, product flows, support experience, and marketing measurement where permitted.
- To maintain legal, tax, accounting, payment, safety, and business records.
8. How we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Tail Echo, process payments, host the website and media, deliver emails, provide forms and support tools, secure the platform, analyze site usage, measure advertising, provide AI-assisted features, maintain business records, or fulfill legal and operational obligations.
Depending on the feature, providers may include website hosting and WordPress services, WooCommerce-related services, payment processors, email providers, analytics and tag-management services, security or anti-spam tools, customer-support systems, CDN or media-delivery providers, and AI service providers.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users or the platform, investigate fraud, enforce agreements, or support a business transaction subject to applicable legal requirements.
9. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain an account or memorial, complete and support orders, resolve disputes, protect the platform, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or recordkeeping obligations.
Public memorial content may remain available until it is removed by the account holder, an authorized requester, or Tail Echo under our Terms and review procedures.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information and reduce unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration. No website, email, phone, AI system, payment service, or online transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Do not send passwords, security codes, or full payment card numbers through Tail Echo support forms, email, or the AI Voice Assistant.
11. Your privacy choices and requests
Depending on the information involved and applicable law, you may ask us to review requests for access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, memorial removal, or ownership review. We may need to verify your identity, email address, order, account, memorial relationship, or authority before acting.
Some information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, payment, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes. A request may also be limited when another person’s privacy or rights are involved.
Cookie and analytics choices can also be managed through the consent controls provided on the site where applicable and through your browser settings.
12. Children and sensitive situations
Tail Echo is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Pet loss can involve emotional distress. Tail Echo is a memorial and remembrance service, not a crisis, medical, veterinary, therapy, legal, financial, spiritual, or emergency service. Please avoid submitting unnecessary highly sensitive personal information through public memorials or support channels.
13. International processing
Tailecho LLC may use service providers that operate or process information in different countries. Depending on the service used, information may be processed in locations outside the country where you live. We use service providers to support website hosting, ecommerce, payments, media delivery, communications, analytics, security, support, and AI-assisted functions.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Tail Echo changes its products, website features, service providers, analytics or advertising configuration, consent practices, security controls, or legal and operational practices. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Cookie Policy, Terms of Service, Privacy Rights & Data Requests, and other policies linked through our Legal & Trust Center.
