Requests we can review

Access

Ask us to review personal information associated with your account, order, memorial, or support request where applicable.

Correction

Ask us to correct inaccurate account, order, memorial, or contact information that we can reasonably verify.

Deletion & removal

Request deletion or removal of certain personal information, memorial pages, messages, photos, or submitted content where you have authority to do so.

Other requests

Where applicable, request an export, restriction of visibility, memorial ownership review, or review of another privacy choice.

1. Information to include with your request

To help us locate the correct records and avoid changing the wrong account or memorial, include as much of the following as is relevant:

  • Your full name and email address.
  • Your Tail Echo account email, if different.
  • Order number, if the request relates to a purchase.
  • Memorial URL and pet name, if the request relates to a memorial.
  • The type of request you are making.
  • A clear description of the information or content involved.
  • An explanation of your relationship to the account, order, memorial, or content when ownership or authority is relevant.

Please do not send unnecessary sensitive documents, passwords, security codes, or full payment card numbers.

2. Verification and safety

Before acting on an access, deletion, account-control, memorial-removal, or ownership request, Tail Echo may ask for reasonable verification. Verification can include confirming an email address, order reference, account information, memorial details, or other facts that help establish authority.

We may delay, narrow, or decline a request when we cannot reasonably verify the requester, when another personโ€™s privacy or rights are involved, or when the request appears fraudulent, abusive, or unsafe.

3. Retention and limits

Some records may need to be retained even after a deletion request, including records reasonably necessary for tax, accounting, payment, fraud-prevention, security, legal, dispute-resolution, or recordkeeping purposes.

A request may also be limited when another personโ€™s privacy, ownership, contractual rights, or legal obligations are involved. Where applicable law provides additional rights or exceptions, we will review the request under those requirements.

4. Memorial removal, ownership, and family disputes

Pet memorials can involve multiple family members, contributors, and emotionally sensitive content. If there is a dispute over who controls a memorial or who may remove content, Tail Echo may temporarily restrict edits or visibility while reviewing the available information.

We may ask for information showing who created the account or memorial, who purchased a related service, or why the requester has authority to make the requested change. Tail Echo will try to handle these requests respectfully, but we cannot adjudicate every family disagreement or guarantee that one personโ€™s preference will override another personโ€™s rights.

5. Cookie, analytics, and advertising choices

Where applicable, you can use Tail Echoโ€™s cookie consent controls to accept, reject, or adjust categories of non-essential cookies and similar technologies. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.

If applicable law gives you additional rights concerning certain advertising, sharing, or targeted-marketing practices, you may contact us and ask us to review that request. Our use of cookies, analytics, Google services, and advertising measurement is described in more detail in our Cookie Policy.

6. How to submit a privacy or data request

You can submit a privacy or data request through the Tail Echo Contact page or by email.

Recommended subject line: Privacy or Data Request

Email: tail@tailecho.com

For the fastest routing, include the type of request, your account or purchase email, and any relevant order number or memorial URL. Do not send passwords or full payment card numbers.

7. Initial review

Complete privacy and data requests are normally acknowledged or initially reviewed within 1โ€“3 business days, Mondayโ€“Friday, Eastern Time (ET).

If additional verification or information is needed, we may contact you before substantive processing can continue.

8. Completion timing

The time needed to complete a request depends on the type of request, verification, the amount of information involved, technical availability, third-party records, and any timelines required by applicable law.

The 1โ€“3 business day service target is for initial review or acknowledgement and is not a promise that every privacy request will be fully completed within that period.
