Dear Vinny, It still does not feel real that you are gone. The house feels quieter, my heart feels heavier, and there are moments I still look for you as if you are going to walk through the room one more time. Five years was never enough time with a soul as special as yours. You were more than my German Shepherd — you were my comfort, my protector, my best friend, and part of my heart walking beside me every day. Through the good days and the difficult ones, you loved me without conditions. Your loyalty was pure, and your presence brought peace in a way words cannot fully explain. I miss your eyes, your gentle spirit, the sound of your paws, and the way you always seemed to know when I needed you close. You gave so much love so freely, and I hope you knew every single day how deeply you were loved in return. Though cancer took you from this world too soon, it could never take away the bond we shared. I believe love like ours does not end — it simply changes form.
